Lenten Sundays

There are technically 46 days throughout Lent (from Ash Wednesday until Easter), but we do not count Sundays, making Lent 40 days of "renewed discipline in walking in the way of the cross and rediscovery of the baptismal renunciation of evil and sin and our daily adherence to Christ." Sundays are considered "mini-Easters" celebrating Jesus' victory over sin and death.

Technically the 6th Sunday of Lent, on this day we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem by waving Palm Branches and shouting Hosanna! This event is recorded in each of the four gospels.

Easter Sunday

At Easter, the fullness of Christ’s glory is revealed. Christ is raised from the dead, triumphing death. On this day, Christians give themselves anew to the gospel where they share the dying and rising of Christ.
